Progress with SL432R from Welsh Models
Progress with SL432R - De Havilland Comet 3 in BOAC World Demo Tour Livery - so far we have assembled, filled and sanded to the shape and have the nose weight to do today to balance the kit freestanding. This involves drilling out the resin from under the cockpit area and replacing it with a denser weight object similar to lead, then fitting the nosecone and sanding to fit. Our decals have arrived, so later we will carry out a test fit and hopefully show our further progress shortly.
